I’ve been a Keller parent for 5 years.

Number of kids and their grades this year?
Griffin is in 4th grade with Mrs. Kirkwood and Stella is in 2nd grade with Mrs. Carline. Eleanor is in preschool at Addams ECC in their Blended Classroom.

What is your current job/ role outside of PTA?
I am a former English teacher and at the moment I am a stay at home mom.

What are some of your hobbies, interests, or passions?
I love music, movies and books. I spend my free time reading and crafting. I enjoy baking and trying new recipes. As a family we like to spend time outside in nature and play board games.

What do you love about Keller PTA?
I love how friendly Keller PTA is and how committed the PTA is to supporting students and staff.

What do you find challenging about PTA?
The most challenging thing is getting volunteers.

As an elementary school student yourself, what did you want to be when you grew up?
As an elementary school student I wanted to be an astronaut.

I am looking forward to a great school year and lots of opportunities to connect!

What are some of your hobbies, interests, or passions?
Home renovation & travel

What do you love about Keller PTA?
I love being a part of the PTA because it helps families get to know each other and fosters a sense of community and connection within the school. Building these relationships creates a supportive environment for our kids and enhances the overall school experience for everyone.

What do you find challenging about PTA?
One of the challenges we sometimes face is finding enough volunteers to support our events. Getting involved is fun for families, builds a social support network and will allow us to support our school community.

As an elementary school student yourself, what did you want to be when you grew up?
I wanted to be a musical theater actor.

Anything else you want to add about yourself, your family, Keller, or PTA?
I look forward to meeting new Keller parents at the PTA meetings this year!

I have 3 kids. A 8th & 6th grader at ROMS and then Delaney in 4th grade in Mrs. Miller’s class.

What is your current job/ role outside of PTA?
Hair Stylist

What are some of your hobbies, interests, or passions?
Going up north and spending time with my family.

What do you love about Keller PTA?
I love all of our fun Keller events

What do you find challenging about PTA?
Volunteers, we always need more volunteers

Teacher

This is my 6th year.

I have three kids. Victor is in 5th grade, Marshall is in 2nd grade, and Curtis is in preschool.

What is your current job/ role outside of PTA?
I am a stay-at-home mom.

What are some of your hobbies, interests, or passions?
I love reading, doing logic puzzles, and playing games on the Switch with my kids. I play volleyball on a team with other moms. I also like to make craft projects when I have time – or when my kids have a special request! I am passionate about reducing waste, recycling...anything that helps protect our Earth.

What do you love about Keller PTA?
The PTA helps create memorable experiences for our Keller community, and I love being a part of that.

What do you find challenging about PTA?
It is hard to fill the volunteer spots needed for events.

As an elementary school student yourself, what did you want to be when you grew up?
I wanted to be a dentist.

Anything else you want to add about yourself, your family, Keller, or PTA?
I am not originally from Michigan. While you are likely to hear me complain about the cold weather or see me wearing Ohio State gear, I do love living in Royal Oak. :) Also, my son, Victor, has cerebral palsy, and I try to be involved with ROPAC when I can. You may see me at one of their meetings too!

I have 2 daughters. Fourth Grade and Sixth Grade

What is your current job/ role outside of PTA?
I am a pediatric physical therapist.

What are some of your hobbies, interests, or passions?
I enjoy spending time with my family, traveling, snowboarding/skiing, and watching movies!

What do you love about Keller PTA?
I love seeing the joy on the kiddos faces during PTA school activities!

What do you find challenging about PTA?
It has been challenging to bring more adults to join and volunteer their time.

As an elementary school student yourself, what did you want to be when you grew up?
I wanted to be a radio DJ!
