2023 International Food & Fun Festival

Enjoy a night out with friends and family as Keller opens its doors to more the 500 guests from our school and surrounding community to experience the sights and sounds of culturally diverse entertainers at the International Food & Fun Festival. As an International Baccalaureate school, this festival is one of our most important events as we learn more about the world outside our own front door.

📍ADMISSION📍
$2 per person, $10 maximum per family/ group, paid at the door or online here.
*Please note that all PTA purchases are non-refundable. We thank you for your donation to the Keller PTA!

📍PARKING📍
Parking is available in the north lot, the main south lot, the overflow lot, or on the neighborhood streets.
🚧🚧IMPORTANT🚧🚧: Due to the placement of the food trucks in the drop-off lane, you CANNOT enter the main parking lot off of Campbell; you MUST use the Bellaire/residential street entrance on the west side to park in the main lot.
Please use door 1, the main entrance, to enter and exit the event.

📍CRAFT STATIONS📍
Craft stations are available from 6:30-8:30, contingent on volunteers helping at each station.

📍SCAVENGER HUNT📍
🔎We have our Keller family-made country information boards on display throughout the building. You can pick up a Scavenger Hunt sheet at the admission tables and go on the hunt, answering a variety of questions about countries around the world.🌎 If you complete your sheet, bring it to the Learning Commons to get a prize! While supplies last🥳

📍PAPER DOLLS ON DISPLAY📍
Each year, we ask our Kindergarten families to dress a paper doll in clothing that represents their heritage. These dolls are hung up in our hallways on the first floor of the building. Be sure to look for these beautiful creations!

📍FOOD📍
Food trucks will be onsite, with food available to purchase right from the trucks. They will be outside of the 4th/5th grade doors (Door 16)

🍿We will be popping popcorn until 8pm. Come to the cafeteria to grab a bag!
REMINDER: NO food or drinks are allowed in the gym.

📍ENTERTAINMENT📍

6:30-6:45: Tai Chi Presentation
6:45-7:15: Ballet Folklorico De Detroit
7:15-7:30: Halka Dancers: Polish Folk Ensemble
7:30-8:00: Native American Dance: Fancy & Hoop
8:00-8:30: West African Congolese Dance: lecture and demonstration

✅Sound Conscious Activities held in Mrs. McLeod’s room, for those looking for a calming space to relax. Tai Chi will be holding three 30-minute classes. Please sign up for a class outside of her classroom before entering the space.

📍Crowdfunding for a Fun Day 📍
Our Silent Auction Chairs still have our crowdfunding going! Keller students have the chance to earn a Fun Day in school by meeting a fundraising goal. Fundraising ends the night of IFFF!

📍CAN YOU VOLUNTEER?📍
We cannot hold these events without the help of volunteers. Volunteer shifts are available in 30-minute intervals so you can still enjoy the evening with your family and friends! Volunteers working cash boxes must be current PTA members, per our insurance regulations.
